Responsible to deliver completed services in relation to the successful application of fertilizers and pesticides to customer properties according to label instructions. Services must be delivered with a high level of quality, within budget, and to Greenscape expectations.
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
- Maintain customer lawns and other landscaping needs. Perform treatment of lawn disease, weeds, and insect infestations.
- Operational knowledge of tanker trucks, spray pumps, and granular spreader.
- Apply fertilizer and weed control to customers lawns according to route specifications.
- Treat lawn disease, diagnose lawns with problems, fertilize lawn and trees.
- Fertilize lawns including weed control, insect control, fungus and disease control.
- Wide knowledge of turf agronomy and management.
- Ability to apply fertilizers and pesticides according to label instructions.
- Perform inspections of lawn, trees and/or shrubs.
- Make recommendations for care and maintenance.
- Safely utilize and/or apply products and materials.
- Maintain accurate treatment records.
- Complete and submit all required work logs and production forms.
- Apply pesticides, insecticides as well as fertilizer and weed control to customer lawns.
- Apply chemical/organic products to customer lawns to achieve good health and beauty.
- Maintain customer lawns by spraying weed control and fertilizer as needed.
- Provide a high level of customer service and client relations based on outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Present opportunity to continue to problem solve while providing excellent customer service to customers and commercial businesses.
- Provide top customer service to current customers and marketed services to potential customers.
- Application of appropriate products and treatments to client properties.
- Improve quality and efficity of treatment programs.
- Follows direction from supervisor.
- Recordkeeping of labor hours, materials, etc.
SECONDARY ELEMENTS
- Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-3 years landscape, lawn care or tree/shrub experience.
- Prior experience with applying fertilizer and herbicides to commercial lawns.
- Pesticide License.
- Prior experience in lawncare or turf application preferred.
- Driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Proficient equipment operating skills.
- Highly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail oriented.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Time Management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Clean and Professional appearance.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. on a routine basis.
- Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions from Foreman or Crew Leader.
- Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment.
- Must wear company eye and ear protection as required.
- Valid Driver’s license required.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, walk, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
