FINE GARDENER
Responsible for the detailed care and maintenance of high-end residential and commercial gardens.
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
· Work with a team to maintain the gardens/plant beds that have been designed by our company, as well as assisting in the installation of new projects
· Plant Care: Plant, transplant and maintain a variety of plants, including but not limited to: flowers, shrubs and trees
· Maintenance: Water, fertilize, prune, and trim plants to ensure their health and aesthetic appeal
· Pest and disease Management: Identify and treat plant diseases and pet infestation using organic and chemical methods
· Soil Management: Test and amend soil to ensure optimal growing conditions
· Seasonal Planting: Plan and execute seasonal planting and garden design changes
· Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their gardening needs and provide recommendations for garden improvements
· Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines for applying chemicals and using equipment
SECONDARY ELEMENTS
· Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.
REQUIREMENTS
· Proven experience as a gardener or in similar role
· Extensive knowledge of plant care, horticulture and landscape design
· Familiarity with gardening tools and machinery
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
· Strong attention to detail and creative eye for gardening design
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 60 pounds
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis.
· Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
· Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risks.
· Ability to follow instructions from Production and/or Account Manager.
· Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment.
· Must wear eye and ear protection as required.
· Valid Driver’s license required.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to ambulate and communicate.
·The employee is occasionally required to operate and tools and controls.
· The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally assist with lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
· Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
