Joe Ciffolillo

President and CEO

Joe founded Greenscape in 1987 and has led the company’s evolution in growing from a small local company to a significant regional force. Through his leadership, vision and thoughtful strategic planning, Joe has guided the company, setting and achieving important milestones. Joe has fostered an exceptional culture at Greenscape based upon a commitment to the highest principles, industry expertise and unsurpassed customer service.
 
Joe graduated from Bucknell University with a BA in Economics. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Caritas Christi Hospital and the Board of Directors for Community Care Services. Joe is a USCG licensed Captain and a four-time Ironman finisher.

Jon Ciffolillo

Vice President, Business Development

Jon’s first role on the Greenscape team was in 1987 as a landscape foreman. Jon’s strength in operations was instrumental during the early developmental years of Greenscape, culminating as operations manager from 1992 through 1995. He accumulated a wealth of experience during these years that ultimately contributed to the success he enjoys as vice president of business development, a position he has held since 1996.
 
Jon received his BA in economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is a Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional, and is also certified as a green roof installer by leading roofing/waterproofing manufacturers. Jon is past president of the Massachusetts Association of Landscape Professionals, president of New England Grows and serves on the Mass Building Congress Committee.

Derek Durgin

Chief Operations Officer

Derek started with Greenscape as a construction foreman in 2000. Drawing upon his in-depth knowledge of the landscape industry and years of experience—including owning and operating his own design build landscape/masonry company—Derek built Greenscape’s estimating department from the ground up in 2001. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in 1998.

 

Greenscape’s team of dedicated, knowledgeable professionals is well-versed in all aspects of landscape design, development and maintenance. Through ongoing education and training we continually grow our knowledge base and cultivate cutting-edge techniques and strategies.
 
Our team works with you to understand your design aesthetic, budget and time requirements so we can develop the right landscape and best maintenance plan.  Safety is our top priority, and through our mandatory training program, the majority of our employees are OSHA-certified.

Nathan H. Patnaude

Maintenance Division Manager

Nathan helps lead the landscape management division, providing strategic vision, operational insight, and acting as a resource for branch managers in the areas of service delivery, customer service and profitability. Using his background gained from working in the industry for over 20 years, Nathan has refined a service delivery approach that is the standard of the Landscape Maintenance division. The division has grown to span all New England states, as well as the Mid Atlantics region.
 
Nathan received his BA from Northeastern University. He is a University of Massachusetts, Green School graduate, a Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional and Massachusetts Certified Pesticide Applicator.

Barbara Robillard

Controller

Barbara joined our team in 2013 to direct and manage the accounting and financial reporting.  As Controller, Barbara provides financial data and support, as well as assisting in key business decisions.  With over 30 years accounting experience within the construction and service industries, Barbara continues to foster the growth of an efficient and professional accounting department.

Barbara received her BS from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY.  After her many years working within the construction industry, Barbara founded a Certified Women-Owned commercial construction company which was awarded many municipal and government jobs in the Capital District of NY.

Mike Lopez

Chief Process Officer

Mike is a business leader recognized for his ability to motivate and influence teams to reach aggressive goals, possessing a history of Lean Six Sigma advances, enterprise-level improvement, multimillion-dollar revenue and productivity increases and efficiencies. Mike has earned a reputation for rapid operational turnarounds and Continuous Improvement, even in the most challenging settings.

Mike started his professional life serving 8 years in the USAF. Mike earned a MS in Product Development, an MS in Systems Engineering, and certification as a Lean Enterprise Facilitator from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Mike also holds a BS in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from Syracuse University. In 2007, Mike completed an Executive Education Program in Leadership and Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management.
